Does the magnetic number on the Property Tax Invoice serve a purpose?
The number at the bottom of our tax notice which is similar is the assessment roll number

That number is for the bank, when a payment is made at the bank they know it if for your municipality.

We do not have this at the bottom of our tax notice. I believe it was for when banks were processing payments and collecting the homeowner grants - our banks no longer accept the homeowner grants.
